Does Costco Sell Disneyland Tickets In 2022?

Yes, Costco does sell discounted vacation packages for Disneyland as of 2022. Costco Travel offers many vacation packages that include entry tickets to the theme park, accommodations at a nearby hotel, and other perks such as free parking and free breakfast. However, separate admission passes aren’t available for purchase at Costco in-store or online.

Costco currently offers three different discounted vacation packages on Disneyland Resort reservations. The three Costco Disneyland deals are –

  1. Disneyland Resort Hotels Package: Welcome To Happy
  2. Disneyland Resort Hotels Package
  3. Disneyland Resort Good Neighbor Hotels Package

These 3 packages come included with a Disneyland Resort theme park admission eTicket for entry into either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park.

If you make a multi-day vacation reservation by selecting either of these 3 packages, you will be eligible to receive a Disney gift card.

The cost of a standard Disneyland vacation package when you book through Costco Travel starts at $2,300 for a 2-night stay at the Disneyland hotel.

When you purchase the standard package deal, Costco will offer you a $185 Disney gift card that can later be used for accommodation, shopping, etc.

Disneyland Ticket Types

There are two types of tickets sold at Disneyland:

  1. One Park Per Day
  2. Park Hopper Tickets

1-Park Per Day tickets allow you to visit only one park in a day, while Hopper Tickets allow you to visit both parks in a day.

So, if you want to visit both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure on the same day, you’ll need to purchase a Hopper Ticket.

The Park Hopper admission pass costs you $60 more than the 1-Park Per day ticket, but if you plan on visiting both parks in one day, it is worth the investment.

With a Hopper Ticket, you can come and go as you please between Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.

The only downside is that Park Hopper Tickets expire 13 days after the first use, so if you’re planning on a longer trip, you’ll need to purchase multiple tickets.

The discounted starting price of a one-day one-park ticket typically ranges between $76 and $106 per adult depending on the number of days you want to visit and the time of year you’ll be going.

If you plan on visiting during the busy season (summer or around holidays), you can expect to pay up to $20 more.

However, if you purchase your ticket in advance online, you can save a few dollars.

At-The-Gate Pricing

In general, the regular ticket prices of Disneyland at the gate will be very high compared to what you pay for buying them at stores like Costco or online.

At the gate, you can expect to pay around $210 per adult for a single-day admission ticket to any one park.

As you already know, there are two theme parks – the original Disneyland park and the Disney California Adventure Park.

So, basically, the Disneyland gate price is quite expensive. Check out the gate prices below –

Admission TypeAt-The-Gate Price
One Day One Park$210
2-Day One Park ticket$275
3-Day 1 Park ticket$355
4-Day 1 Park Pass$385
5-Day 1 Park Pass$415
Single-Day Admission Gate Pricing

Discounted 1-Day Admission

For ages 3 to 9, the online price will be around $155 per person and the entry is free for children aged below 3 years.

So, for example, if you are a family of 4 members with two adults and two children older than 3, then the overall discounted price you will need to pay is –

  • ==> 2 x $164 + 2 x $155
  • ==> $328 + $310
  • ==> $638

For the same number of tickets, at the gate, you will end up paying around $750 to $800. So, with online discounted pricing, you can save up to $37.50 per ticket.

As of 2022, you can buy 2-day Disneyland discounted tickets at a rate of $255 per person which translates to around $127.50/day.

Some authorized ticket resellers like undercovertourist.com sell two-day passes at around $248 per adult (above 9 years) and $234 per child (above 3 years).

Disneyland Discounted Passes Cost

Please note that these discounted rates can be availed only online and the gate prices will differ (normally very high).

The cost of a single-day pass will be as low as $76 per day when you select 5 days whereas the price goes as high as $164 when you opt for one-day admission.

And also, the difference in cost between the standard theme park ticket and the park hopper pass is $60.

When you select admission for 4 days or more, then Disneyland will give you access to the park one hour early on select days. This special entry is known as “Disneyland Magic Morning.”

Multi-Day Passes Discount

On its multi-day tickets, Disneyland gives a discount that goes on increasing with the number of days you plan to visit.

In short, you can save more money if you buy tickets for more days!

For example, a 1-day pass costs you just $76 when you choose to enter the park any 5 days during the season.

On the other hand, the same ticket costs you as much as $164 if you want a one-time entry. This is how multi-day tickets discount works at Disneyland.

Until a few days back, Costco used to sell these multi-day passes at its warehouses in and around California.

Disneyland Kids Discount

At Disneyland, kids aged 3 to 9 get a flat discount of $20 on any multi-day ticket bought at the gate and online.

Please note that these rates can only be found online and not at the gate. The gate pricing will be high and vary from date to date.

Even online, the cost per ticket will be as low as $104 if you buy them well in advance at least one month before your planned visit.

Disneyland Genie+ Cost

If you’re looking for a way to take your Disneyland experience to the next level, look no further than the Disney Genie+ service.

For $20 per ticket, you’ll enjoy all the benefits of Lightning Lane entrance at a variety of attractions and experiences throughout the parks, plus unlimited Disney PhotoPass downloads and engaging audio tales.

With so much to see and do, Disney Genie+ is the perfect way to make the most of your visit.

The cost of the Disney Genie+ service is a great value considering all of the benefits it provides.

Lightning Lane entrance allows you to bypass the regular lines at popular attractions, saving you time and giving you more opportunity to enjoy all that Disneyland has to offer.

And with unlimited Disney PhotoPass downloads, you can capture all your magical memories to share with family and friends.

Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a seasoned pro, Disney Genie+ is the perfect way to make the most of your Disneyland experience. So don’t wait – add it to your ticket today!

Is Genie+ Worth The Money?

It’s difficult to put a price on convenience and peace of mind, but if we had to guess, we’d say that the Disney Genie+ service is definitely worth the cost.

However, some people might argue that $20 is a bit too steep for what is essentially an express pass to skip the lines at certain attractions.

At the end of the day, it really comes down to personal preference. If you think having the ability to bypass the regular lines and enjoy unlimited Disney PhotoPass downloads is worth the cost, then we say go for it!

Parking Fee

Disneyland charges a flat parking fee of $30 per vehicle per day. It’s best to buy the parking ticket online as the gate price will be typically high.

So, what you basically pay online is the discounted parking fee!

In case you were wondering, a parking pass once bought will not expire until 24 months from the purchase date.

Preferred parking is also available. But, for that, you’ll need to inquire about it at the gate. Currently, Disneyland doesn’t sell preferred parking vouchers online on its official website.

This parking voucher is not valid for heavy or oversized vehicles and doesn’t give you access to parking lots at the Disney District Parking area and hotels.

Does Disneyland Discount Tickets Expire?

The expiry date on a Disneyland ticket indicates the last day that the ticket can be used. After this date, the ticket will no longer be valid and cannot be used to enter the park.

You can find the expiry date printed on the back of your ticket, along with other important information such as the ticket type and restrictions.

The expiry date is also included in the confirmation email or voucher that you receive when you purchase your tickets online.

It’s important to note that you don’t have to use all the days on your ticket before the expiry date.

However, you can only use each day of your ticket within 13 days of first using it.

For example, if you use your ticket for the first time on 1 January, you must use all the remaining days on the ticket by 13 January.

If you have unused days on your ticket when it expires, you won’t be able to get a refund or use those days at a later date.

So, if you’re planning to visit Disneyland for more than one day, make sure you allow enough time to use all the days on your ticket before it expires.

One important thing to remember is that a “day of use” starts as soon as you enter the park, even if you only stay for a few minutes.

So, it doesn’t matter what time of day you enter, that day will be counted as one of your days of use.

Military Discount

The Disneyland Military Discount is a great way for military personnel to enjoy all that Disneyland has to offer at a discounted rate.

This discount allows military personnel to purchase tickets for both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park at a reduced price.

As of 2022, the Disneyland Military Discount includes a 3-day or 4-day Park Hopper ticket. This means that military personnel can visit both parks each day of their ticket.

The discounted price for a 3-day Park Hopper ticket is $225, and the discounted price for a 4-day Park Hopper ticket is $260.

In addition to the discounted tickets, military personnel can also purchase a ticket that includes Disney Genie+ service.

For this, you will need to pay an additional $60 for the 3-day ticket, or $80 for the 4-day ticket.

However, this service provides a number of benefits, including unlimited Disney PhotoPass digital downloads and access to special audio tales.

Please remember that the Disneyland Military Discount is only available for purchase through December 12, 2022.

However, the tickets are valid for use through December 16, 2022. There are also some blackout dates that apply, such as April 9-17, 2022.
